Are there any accessible / step-free tube stations near Camden?

The three tube stations nearest the venue each cater to different types of access needs.

Chalk Farm: This station uses the Northern Line with a couple of steps up from the platform thena lift up to the exit. Chalk Farm is the closest station to the venue but isnot wheelchair accessible.

Camden Town: Using the Northern Line, this station can often be busy and overcrowded. It is stepfree. However, it is advised not to visit this station if you get overwhelmed or overstimulated easily. Camden Town is a short walk from the venue.

Camden Road: Using the Overground services this station is fully accessible and step free. However, this station is the furthest away from the venue and is a ten-minute walk. Visit the TFL website for further accessible journey information.

Can I park near the venue with a blue badge?

Camden parking works in two different zones; blue and green bays. If you are a resident and own a green badge you are permitted to park in the designated bays at no charge and no time limit. You must display your badge clearly.

There are several blue badge bays around Camden which allow you to park there for no charge. Or you can park on single / double lines with your blue badge for a limit of three hours.

For full information onthe best places to park around Camden please consult the Camden Council website before your visit. Or alternatively, for general blue badge questions, please consult the GOV.UK website.

Is the venue fully accessible?

Our venue has two entrances, if you require step-free access into our facilities a member of our Front of House team will escort you to the ramped entrance on Maker’s Alley within Camden Market. However, please note that the gradient of this ramp is 1:9 and may be difficult to navigate. There are handrails entering the building, to aid in mobility. You will also find additional ramps throughout the venue. Please be aware that Camden Market’s streets are cobbled and this may prove difficult for wheelchair users.

In the event of a fire there are four fire exits from the venue. Two fire exits are step-free, one with a ramp. The other fire exits do require mobility. If you or someone in your party are unable to use the step-free exits you will be taken to the nearest evacuation point by a member of our Front of House team. At the evacuation point we have fully operational evacuation chairs. We are always looking for ways to become more inclusive if you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 0203 053 1500 or email ticketing@artstickets.co.uk.

The main bar could cause some difficulties for patrons due to certain previous design elements that cannot be changed. Please let us know before you arrive and our venue management team will look after you.

I get easily overstimulated, what should I expect?

Immersive theatre is breaking down the boundaries of traditional theatre. It is important to note that the actors will lead you on this experience and include you in their characters’ storyline. This will mean close contact with our actors who are trained to respect all our patrons boundaries. However, if you feel overwhelmed at any point during the show then you are free to move at your own pace and enjoy the performance as a spectator as well. How far you immerse yourself is completely up to you, as long you also respect the actors. If you need any help during your time with us just speak to a member of our Front of House team who are stationed and roam throughout the venue, they will always help you whenever you need them.

When you arrive let a member of our team know that you do not wish to be spoken to or approached. Our team will give you a colour coded lanyard that will let the actors know not to engage with you and let you watch the show.

In order for people to know what to expect from the show, a visual and sound story is currently being created. This document will provide information on where the loud noises and flashing lights are. These stories will be available to download on our website.

I have to take medication throughout my visit, what should I do?

It is recommended that you speak to a member of our team upon arrival to let them know how to assist you better and on what to look out for during your visit. If you need to take food or drink for any medical reason this can be accommodated but please make sure you keep our team updated on your needs.

I am visually impaired / deaf / hard of hearing / have walking difficulties, can I come and see the show?

For patrons that are hard of hearing we have three portable hearing loops situated in the Cloakroom, the Garrison Bar and the Eden Club Bar. For patrons that are visually impaired we are looking into providing audio described performances within the immersive world.

Due to the uneven flooring throughout the venue, it may be difficult to use canes or walking sticks and it is recommended that you bring either a carer or service animal. If you are bringing a service animal, we ask that you contact our ticketing team when purchasing your ticket. They can be emailed directly at ticketing@artstickets.co.uk.We can then brief our team and actors in advance of the performance. Service animals are allowed to stay with you and enter our bar areas. For any further information on accessibility within the venue please email ticketing@artstickets.co.uk.
